Music for All welcomes Elena Sharkova as Guest Conductor for the 2020 Music for All National Choir Festival, March 12-14 in Indianapolis.

Singers will share the passion and expertise of St. Petersburg, Russia native, Elena Sharkova, as they explore the beauty and allure of folk songs from Russia. Sharkova, Director of the Cantabile Youth Singers, who performed at the 2019 ACDA National Conference in Kansas City, will serve as Guest Conductor of the Music for All National Choir, March 12-14, 2020 in Indianapolis.

“It is with great joy that I introduce you to the Music for All National Choir Festival 2020 where I will share the podium with the incredible conductor and my friend, Elena Sharkova. Elena is known throughout the world for her dynamic musicianship and enthusiasm in making great music!” said Artistic Director, Henry Leck. Sharkova will also present a master class on Russian Folk Music.

The stellar Artistic Panel includes Composer-in-Residence, Rosephanye Powell, and Associate Artistic Director, Jason Max Ferdinand, who will conduct the National Festival Choir side-by-side the Oakwood Aeolians. Evaluator-Clinicians are Rollo Dilworth, Angela Broeker, Brandon Boyd, and Ly Wilder. Jo-Michael Scheibe will preside over the “Joseph Flummerfelt Conductor’s Critique” established in 2018 by Dr. Flummerfelt during the inaugural Music for All National Choir Festival. Eric Stark and Robyn Lana join Leck and Ferdinand to provide feedback for application recordings.
