Logan Caywood is the Vocal Music teacher at Hadley Middle School in Wichita, Kansas where teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Kansas State University.
Logan serves annually as the Ensemble Host Coordinator and Stage Manager for the Music For All National Choir Festival, where he has worked directly with Dr. Jason Max Ferdinand, Henry Leck, Dr. Andre Thomas, Dr. Rollo Dilworth, and many other internationally-renowned directors.
Logan continues to write and receive grants to further his focus on the incorporation of World Music Pedagogy into the choir classroom. Recently, Logan has received the Give A Note Foundation Music Education Innovator Award, the Music Teachers National Association Teacher Enrichment Grant, and the Wichita Public Schools Education Edge Grant. His research interests include methods for integrating Culturally Relevant Pedagogy and World Music Pedagogy with choral music education to create challenging and engaging school music experiences for students. He continues to present his research to music educators at national and international conferences.
