Christian Yost is the vocal music teacher at Hastings High School in Hastings, Nebraska where he teaches 9th-12th grade. There he directs six curricular choral ensembles as well as the competitive show program. He received his Bachelors in Music Education from Wichita State University under the direction of Dr. Michael Hanawalt and is a proud Shocker alumnus.
Christian serves annually as the Ensemble Host Coordinator and Stage Manager for the Music For All National Choir Festival, where he has worked directly with Dr. Jason Max Ferdinand, Henry Leck, Dr. Andre Thomas, Dr. Rollo Dilworth, and many other internationally-renowned directors.
Christian has been seen in productions both locally and all around the world, playing theaters on Broadway, the Las Vegas Strip, Lake Tahoe, in the heart of London, and in over 15 different countries. He has produced work for Disney, ABC, NBC, Hallmark, and the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. His goal as an educator is to use these experiences to give students larger than life opportunities that allow them to chase their dreams rather than just the status quo.
