Monica Orban, collaborative pianist in the St. Louis area since 2010, is the Director of Education and Community Engagement for the Bach Society of St. Louis and an Education Programs Associate with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Monica volunteers as an “E.N.V.O.Y” (Educators of National Voices of Youth) for Music For All, a music and arts education advocacy organization based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Monica has extensive experience in accompanying choirs of all ages and preparing students for solo/ensemble competitions and college auditions.
Monica holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Butler University and a Masters in Education with a music emphasis from Lindenwood University. As a music educator, she has taught K-12 vocal music in both Indiana and Ohio.
Monica’s strong passion for music lead her to establish and direct an elementary children’s choir in Xenia, Ohio. She has participated on contemporary and traditional worship teams, and played and coached for a variety of music theater companies. Monica holds professional memberships in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA). Monica loves to dance, walk, read, and travel!
