Monica Orban, collaborative pianist in the St. Louis area since 2010, currently works with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra as an intern in their Educational Division, in addition to teaching elementary music in the Rockwood School District. She has extensive experience in accompanying choirs of all ages and excels in accompanying students at the secondary and post-secondary levels, preparing them for solo/ensemble competitions and college auditions.
Ms. Orban holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Butler University and a Masters in Education with a Music Emphasis from Lindenwood University. As a music educator, she has taught K-12 vocal music in both Indiana and Ohio.
Because of her strong passion for music, Monica has been involved in founding and directing an elementary children’s choir, has participated on contemporary and traditional worship teams, and played/coached for musicals. Ms. Orban holds professional memberships in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Missouri Choral Directors Association (MCDA), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA). Monica currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri with her family.
